Yummy Treats and Goodies!


Monster Cookies


NEEDED:

6 Large Eggs
1/2 lbs of M&M's plain
1 lb brown sugar
4 cups white sugar
1/2 lb of butter
9 cups of oatmeal
1/2 package of chocolate chips
1/2 lb of maple syrup
1/2 table spoon of vanilla
1 full 18 oz jar of peanut butter (CHUNKY works best)
4 tsp of baking soda

TO make:
Mix all in a large bowl. Mixture will be HUGE and sticky. Place in small chunks on cookie sheets. Bake on 350 for 8 to 15 mins! Till golden brown.

MAKES 8 dozen cookies ! Great for bake sales or holiday gifts! Tasty, you will want to make them everyday!

Mango Salsa


NEEDED

12 8in tortillas
1C chopped strawberries
1 kiwi chopped
1 mango chopped
1 peach chopped
1 lime
Sliced almonds
Vanilla ice cream
1/4C sugar
2t cinnamon
2T butter or margarine, melted
Strawberry ice cream topping


TO MAKE:
Cut tortillas into triangles. On each side of triangle, cut in about one inch. Put into muffin stone. Brush with butter sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 15 minutes at 350. Mix all chopped fruit. Vest the lime add to fruit. Juice the lime and all to fruit. Mix, chill. Make squiggle on plate with strawberry topping, set tortilla cup in middle. add one scoop of ice cream to tortilla cup, top with salsa and almonds.

Great for parties.. or get togethers! also great for a family treat!


Smorz No Bake Bars!!


NEEDED:
2 cups sugar
1/4 baking cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine stick, melted
1 cup oats
3 cups Kellogg's Smorz Cereal
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

TO make: Combine sugar, cocoa, milk, and butter. Then stir and boil for 1 1/2 minutes in a large sauce pan. Remove from heat. Next add the remaining ingredients and mix.

Spray no stick spray on a medium cookie sheet and spread mixture out. Let set in refrigerator, then cut into squares and eat and enjoy.

Anise Hard Candy!!


Needed:
1 1/2 tsp. butter softened
3/4 C. water
2/3 C. light corn syrup
2 C. sugar
1 tsp. anise extract
red food coloring
2-3 T. powdered sugar

To make:

Butter an 8 inch square baking pan with 1 1/2 tsp. butter; set aside.

In a large heavy saucepan, combine water, corn syrup and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cover and cook for 3 minutes to dissolve any sugar crystals.

Uncover, cook over medium high heat, without stirring, until a candy thermometer reads 300º (hard crack stage).

Remove from heat, stir in extract and food coloring (keep face away from mixture as odor is very strong).

Pour into prepared pan. Using a sharp knife, score into 3/4 inch squares.

Cool. Separate into squares, using a sharp knife if necessary.

Place powdered sugar in a baking pan, add candy and roll till coated. Brush off excess sugar with a pastry brush.

Store at room temperature in an airtight container.

Makes about 1 lb. (8 dozen)

No Bake Cookies!!!

Combine in a Saucepan:

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup margarine
2 Tbs cocoa

Bring to a boil, stiring, reduce heat and continue to boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat.

Add 1 Tsp of Vanilla
Add 2 Tbs of Peanut Butter

Stir in approx. 2 cups of instant/quick oats. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper/aluminium foil and let cool til hard. Yummy treats.
